Igor Lazin, author of the film "The Dog and the Bunny"
I work my two of my colleagues in the production house MYFILM KFT and we have done a number of animated advertising films and got bored with it. I am currently making my own exhibitions and that meets my needs for artistic work. Previously, I used to make 2-3 author’s films per year, but now I’m down to just one. Even this is too much. “The Dog and the Bunny” is a rather old story, a love story. My failed love. Love unreturned, that I ultimately transferred in my soul to two animals. I am, in fact, the bunny. I am a woman. That woman was much stronger than me in that relationship. I really thought that this would be a very intimate story that people in the Ministry of Culture of Hungary would got to like and that they would give me money for the film after they meet me – me and my close friends. I am not sure what people make of that story. I think they see a story about a misunderstanding. People understand that this is childish: “I didn’t make a mistake, I didn’t… I still love after all… Understand that I love you… You’re the one I need!” I am glad to be here, it was a long time since I was in Belgrade the last time, I am glad that your festival is slowly becoming global, people are taking care that everything is functioning properly. I feel good, it means a lot to me. |
