The 54th Belgrade Festival of Documentary and Short Film was opened last evening. After the Artistic Director of the Festival, Mrs. Vera Vatic, addressed the audience in „Dom Sindikata“, the hosts presented the distinguished guests of the International Jury.

After the screening of the film „The Sound“ and the speech by Janko Baljak – the Chairman of the Council of the Festival, the Life Achievement Award was handed over to Predrag Vranesevic and the children of Mladen Vranesevic – Milan and Milana.

The award was handed over by last year's recipient of the Life Achievement Award – Mr. Vladimir Petric, who opened the 54th Belgrade Festival of Documentary and Short Films.
