- The future of short films in Serbia is bright, for I think that in spite of the recent turbulent period that have brought a sort of faster life and carelessness regarding short forms. I think that a solid and loyal audience is being created, who loves this kind of art. The future will not bring any new changes, which means that the interest for shorts, experimental or documentary films, will not cease. We are headed towards a more stable life. Belgrade and Serbia are breeding a stable audience for this kind of films. I think that this festival will remain unrivalled for years to come. |
Emil Matesic, actor and scriptwriter of the film „Torsion“: The story of the film stems from a theatre play we did a year before the film. In that play, the core motive is the spine. There is a scenographic motive around wich revolves
Jaksa Boric, director of the film " Torsion": We did not have too hard of a time to adapt the play to the film, it came spontaneously. But it was hard to make the film, because it’s always is. Every business is hard when done properly, but we enjoyed it. We obtained... [ read more] |
IGOR LAZIN, AUTHOR OF THE FILM "THE DOG AND THE BUNNY" - I work my two of my colleagues in the production house MYFILM KFT and we have done a number of animated advertising films and got bored with it. Otherwise, Djudurovic’s colleague from dramaturgy, Jovana Lazic, who had shown him the monograph, was... [ read more] |
MILJAN GLISIC
- The director’s friend and scriptwriter Dusan Bulic, who had been for several years interested in the story about Sava Savanovic – the first Serbian vampire – came to the idea of making the film. Glisic found the story interesting, especially from the aspect of a story about the dead, the issue of existence and dying and this demonic urge for live after death. I though that if in that way... JELENA BOSKOVIC - She has found inspiration for her film in everyday life, because an overwhelming number of people live their lives in a kind routine. Jelena says that it’s not geographical, but a fact of the modern era. When the director felt that that routine is starting to eat her up too, she decided to deal with this subject and make a film about the robotized man, deprived of emotions.
- The process of working on the film is very complex, for it’s an experimental form... [ read more]

SASA PANCIC, AUTHOR OF “BLACK LIGHT”- The short film “Black Light” is part of the internal process driving a creative impulse. The importance of the process of transition of light, from two-dimensional determinants to three-dimensional objects, is bigger than the very works of art which are merely auxiliary stations in the circle. And so, this film is not a description of created drawings, relief and sculptures, but a... [ read more]
