Od pamtiveka Dunav je za mnoge "reka života". Dunav daje ali i uzima. Prošle godine zabeležene su brojne poplave u celom svetu i kod nas. Dunav je proletos bio viši nego ikada. Mnogi domovi u dunavskom slivu ostali su pod vodom. Zna se koliko je porodica bilo ugroženo, ali mnoga sirotinjska naselja niko nije obišao, niti uveo u spisak postradalih.

From time immemorial the Danube River has been “the river of the life.“ The Danube gives but it also takes. Last year numerous floods were registered both in the world and in our country. Last summer the Danube was higher than ever. Many homes in the Danube basin remained under water. It is known how many families were endangered, but nobody went to see many poor people's settlements nor did anybody make the list of victims.

Rođen je 1935. godine u Ðurđevu, diplomirao je na Filozofskom fakultetu u Beogradu na odseku za etnologiju. Od 1957. godine radi u Radio Titogradu i Sarajevu, a od 1962. godine u TV Beograd. Dobitnik je mnogobrojnih priznanja za rad u novinarstvu, između ostalog nagrada za životno delo Udruženja novinara Srbije, istoimene nagrade Saveza novinara Jugoslavije, TV Beograd i međunarodnog festivala reportaže u Somboru INTERFER. Dobitnik je i tri glavne nagrade na Festivalu dokumentarno-etnološkog filma u Kučevu, a na Međunarodnom festivalu etnološkog i antropološkog filma, sa takođe tri glavne nagrade, kao i nekoliko za režiju i scenario. Živi i stvara u Belegišu.

Born in 1935 in Djurdjevo; graduated from the Belgrade Faculty of Philosophy at the Department for Ethnology. From 1957 he worked in Radio Titograd and Sarajevo , and since 1962 in TV Belgrade. For his journalist work he has been awarded numerous recognitions, among others the Journalist Association of Serbia life achievement award and the eponymous ones from the Journalist Association of Yugoslavia, TV Belgrade and International Reportage Festival INTERFER in Sombor. He has won three main awards at the Kucevo Documentary and Ethnological Film Festival as well as at the International Ethnological and Anthropological Film Festival and several ones for directing and scenario. He lives and works in Belegis.
