„Pre nego što vetar dune“ priča priču o tri mlade osobe koje treba da odu na različite samoubilačke operacije. Upoznajemo se sa svakom od njih kada načas staju da bi dali njihov portret pre polaska na njihove misije. Dajući ova tri pojedinačna portreta „Pre nego što vetar dune“ pokušava da ispita kontraste između trivijalnosti fotografskog pokreta i radikalne akcije koje treba da počine glavni likovi.

“Before the Wind Blows” tells the story of 3 young people about to depart on different suicide operations. We encounter each one as they pause to have their portrait taken before setting off on their mission. By presenting these three individual portrait sessions, “Before the Wind Blows” tries to examine the contrast between the triviality of the photographic gesture and the radical action that the characters are about to perpetrate.

Samer Najari

Rođen je u Moskvi 1976. godine, a do 18. godine živeo u Siriji. Nakon upisivanja studija arhitekture, imigrirao je za Kanadu sa svojom porodicom 1994. Snimio je dva filma koja su prikazana i nagrađena na različitim međunarodnim manifestacijama. U Montrealu je radio na svom novom filmu “Pre nego što vetar dune”.

Born in Moscow in 1976, Samer Najari lived in Damascus, Syria, until the age of eighteen. Shortly after having started arhcitecture studies at the University of Damascus, he immigrated to Montreal, Canada, with his family in 1994. He realised two films witch have been presented and prized in different international manifestations. Back in Montreal, he has been working on his last short film LE PETIT OISEAU VA SORTIR
