Studirala je muziku, pozorište, umetnosti i teologiju u Bergenu i Americi, pre nego što je postala filmski režiser na Nacionalnoj norveškoj filmskoj školi. Ranije je radila u pozorištu i režirala je dokumentarce, među kojima je i film o mirovnom procesu na Šri Lanki. Sa filmom “Rez na srcu” diplomirala je 2006.

Studied music, theatre, art, and theology in Bergen and USA before she became an up and coming film director at the National Norwegian Film School . Earlier she directed theatre and documentaries, among others on the peace process in Sri Lanka .
